Battery care
What winter actually does
Range loss is real and temporary. It is not damage
Cold takes your range and gives it back in spring. It does not take your battery.

The detail
Across 30,000 vehicles, cars returned about 78 percent of rated range at 32 Fahrenheit and about 70 percent at 20 Fahrenheit. A heat pump recovers roughly 10 percent of that at freezing. None of this is permanent capacity loss.
Buying a Used EV or Hybrid?
Get the battery measured before you pay for it. A PPI Auto inspector tests the pack on the car you are looking at and sends you the numbers. Starting at $225.
