What Goes Wrong

Reported failures, each from a source listed below, as of October 7, 2026.

    Symptoms

    • Toyota service bulletin T-SB-0074-20 (Aug 2020) describes the check engine light (MIL) coming on with DTC P0A80 and/or P0A7F stored because dust or debris has built up in the HV battery cooling fan or intake filter; the procedure cleans the fan and cleans or replaces the intake filter. It lists 2007-2020 Camry HV, so it covers 2018-2020 of this record. (static.nhtsa.gov: MC-10179698-9999.pdf, 2026-10-07)
    • Toyota's 2020 Camry Hybrid Warranty and Maintenance Guide schedules cleaning of the HV battery cooling intake filter and refers to the owner's manual section on cleaning the hybrid battery air intake vent and filter. (techinfo.toyota.com: T-MMS-20CamryHV.pdf, 2026-10-07)

    Warranty

Toyota's 2018 and 2019 Camry Hybrid Warranty and Maintenance Guides list the hybrid battery under the 8-year/100,000-mile Hybrid System Warranty, and the 2020, 2022 and 2024 guides list a separate Hybrid Battery Warranty of 10 years or 150,000 miles from the in-service date.
