What Goes Wrong
Reported failures, each from a source listed below, as of October 7, 2026.
- Owner complaints NHTSA lists under the Hybrid Propulsion System component for the Honda Accord Hybrid, by model year: 2023: 3. These are all hybrid system complaints, owner reported and unverified, not only battery faults, as of 2026-10-07.
Symptoms
- The 2023 and 2025 Accord Hybrid owner's manuals say the high-voltage battery gradually discharges when the car is not used, extended time at low charge shortens battery life, and Honda advises driving more than 30 minutes at least once every three months; extreme heat also affects battery life, and a near-empty battery can make the engine impossible to start.
