Symptoms
- The 2014 Accord Hybrid owner's manual says the POWER SYSTEM indicator comes on if there is a problem with the electric vehicle system, or when the high-voltage battery temperature becomes high while it is being charged, and the car should be checked by a dealer. (techinfo.honda.com: 3W1414OM.pdf, 2026-10-07)
- The 2014 Accord Hybrid owner's manual says EV mode is unavailable when the high-voltage battery charge gauge shows two or fewer segments, and an EV-mode-canceled message can cite 'Battery Charge Too Low'. (techinfo.honda.com: 3W1414OM.pdf, 2026-10-07)
- The 2014 Accord Hybrid owner's manual says the 12-volt battery charging system indicator comes on when the 12-volt battery is not charging. (techinfo.honda.com: 3W1414OM.pdf, 2026-10-07)
- The 2014 Accord Hybrid owner's manual says the high-voltage battery slowly discharges when parked, long periods at low charge shorten battery life, and Honda advises driving more than 30 minutes at least once every three months; high heat also affects battery life. These packs share this one's chemistry, voltage and module count. That is a spec match only. It does not mean the parts fit each other, so check with a technician.
Recalls
- 15V602000 2014-2015 Electrical interference may put the hybrid system into fail-safe mode, which disables the gasoline engine and limits speed to 40 mph.
